Thinking of becoming a carer?

CuraCare celebrates World COPD Awareness Day, 15 November 2017

COPD Day 2017

Today is World COPD Day.

COPD, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, is a group of lung conditions that make it difficult to empty air out of the lungs because the airways have narrowed.

It becomes difficult to breathe and people may find everyday tasks really challenging.

As a result, CuraCare has worked with a number of people with COPD, helping them live as uninterrupted a life as possible.

However, millions of people across the UK have COPD and don’t even know it. They’re struggling with their symptoms and a lower quality of life. Their condition is progressing quickly because they’re not receiving treatment.

This World COPD Day, let’s raise awareness of COPD, find the missing millions and help people get the treatment and support they deserve.
