Thinking of becoming a carer?

CuraCare & Alzheimer’s Society United Against Dementia

This year’s Dementia Awareness Week is running from 14th to 20th May.  The Alzheimer’s Society, which runs Dementia Awareness Week is asking everyone across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to unite against dementia.

Dementia looks set to be this century’s biggest killer. However, awareness and understanding remains low and many families are facing it alone.

For this reason, throughout this week, the Alzheimer’s Society wants everyone to come together and take action. By uniting, we can raise awareness, offer help and understanding, improve care and urgently find a cure.

There are plenty of ways you can support the Week and everyone can play their part.  For those living and/or working in the area, there is a Dementia Awareness Week event at The Woodville Centre, Woodville Road, Ham, TW10 7QW. This will be held on Monday 15 May 2017 from 10am to 4pm.  It’s open to the public and provides a fantastic opportunity for people living with dementia, carers and professionals within health and care can come together.  For more information, contact hollie.liu@alzheimers.org.uk
