CuraCare Scoop Up The Dignity In Care Awards

CuraCare awards

We would like to say massive congratulations to our carers who were nominated for Richmond Council’s Dignity In Care Awards.

The awards were held yesterday at York House. They are a celebration of all the great work carried out by care workers throughout the borough of Richmond (whether delivered at home or in residential care settings).

Nominations for the awards were made by people who have received care and support over the last year. Some of the things written in the nominations were incredibly heart warming. A very poignant point made by the Mayor, who presented the awards, was that a society can be judged on how it treats its most vulnerable members. There was a real consensus that everyone nominated for the Dignity In Care Awards really do treat people in an exemplary way.

There were 18 carers from CuraCare that were nominated by clients. There was also a short list of three people for the Home Care Carer of the Year Award and we are pleased to say that Shannon Premecz, a member of CuraCare’s team was on the shortlist – well done Shannon!

At CuraCare, we all find it a real honour and a privilege to be involved in delivering great care to older people in their own homes.  We are incredibly proud of the great team of carers that we have. Congratulations to all of the nominees!
