Operating locally throughout Richmond, Twickenham and East Sheen, we choose our carers for this service extremely carefully. We know how important it is to be able to provide support for both psychological and physical needs, so the carers we choose are warm and understanding as well as practical and intuitive.
Adopting a mindful approach to the situation, we make sure the appropriate care is being provided, working alongside other health professionals such as district nurses, GPs and hospices. All our care professionals are trained in administering medicines and have strong local links to services which provide equipment that may help in managing symptoms, maintaining dignity and keeping clients as comfortable as possible.
We believe that everybody should have the right to choose where they spend the last days of their lives. For many people, this will be at home in familiar surroundings with loved ones. We’re committed to making this time as pleasant and comfortable as possible through the support we provide.
In addition, for family members who don’t know what to expect, we’re there to provide emotional support, guidance and suggestions. We’re able to talk you through what’s normal, so you’re not unnecessarily confused and alarmed at this challenging time.
To give you an idea of what’s involved, our specialist palliative care at home services include; administering pain relief medication, mobility and exercise, personal care, well-being, and diet and nutrition. One of the benefits of being a local provider is that we can also facilitate additional appropriate apparatus nearby.
