Every year in May, Dying Matters hosts an Awareness Week. This gives an opportunity to place the importance of talking about dying, death and bereavement firmly on the national agenda. This year, Dying Matters asks “What Can You Do?”
The aim is to get people to become more active in planning for dying and death and helping support those who may need it in times of grief and bereavement, be they friends, family or in your wider community.
For local residents, there is an exhibition at Strawberry Hill University called A Graceful Death. This runs on 11th to 13th May in Waldegrave Drawing Room at St Mary’s University in Strawberry Hill and focuses on people facing the end of life.
Talking about death, dying and bereavement is a cause that CuraCare is very much behind. We regularly work with people at the end of life and find it a great privilege to help people at such an important time.
