She'd had her first major operation and time in hospital and it was very clear that we needed a solution to help her at home. The number of people who recommended you first was very interesting. My mother wouldn’t be able to say where she is without support from you. When you first started, she was much more capable but now, she’s not so able. It's very useful to know if she's running out of something or if something needs doing. We don’t live nearby, so it's very useful to have someone there for her. I can’t do this on my own and need the help… Mum can't be left alone, so the benefit is that she has someone to keep her company, to fill in the gaps when we can't be there. And she has the chance to be in her own home. She has dementia and was very disoriented in the care home but she's much more relaxed in her own home.
