Free Moving & Handling training for Carers

To celebrate Carers Week 2017, CuraCare is offering free Moving & Handling training for carers. Any carer living in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is welcome to attend the training sessions, which are aimed at promoting good practice when providing care to their loved ones.

Carers provide the vast majority of care that takes place in the UK. However, in too many cases, as people’s care needs increase, their carers are not necessarily shown how to help move and reposition them in a way that minimises risks to the carer and minimises discomfort and risk to the person being moved.

In these free Moving & Handling training sessions, we will teach the principles of moving people that is safe and effective for both the carer and the person being assisted.

CuraCare will be running two free training sessions on Tuesday 13^th June, one from 10:00 to 12:00 and the second from 13:00 to 15:00. Both training sessions will be held at our office at 15 Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 3AB. Places can be booked by contacting CuraCare on 020 8892 9222 or info@curacare.co.uk
